The Abilene Public Library will host a talk and presentation given by local artist Mark Gilder Thursday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Gilder, a lifetime resident of Kansas, uses the rural landscape as a central theme of his art. However, buildings and structures, both urban and rural, continue to repeat his imagery as well. Gilder has an MFA in print making with an emphasis in intaglio from Kansas State University.
This event is free and open to the public. His artwork may also be viewed in the Jordan Room during regular library hours.
